Public figures have compiled a rating of cities on the quality of catering services
Cafes and restaurants in Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod and Vladivostok have become leaders in terms of service quality, according to the Izvestia Waiter Index compiled by experts from the Security 2.0 monitoring center (under the Russian Peace Foundation).
The rating took into account the speed of service, the courtesy and professionalism of the staff, as well as the correctness of calculations. The study covered the 10 most visited cities in Russia according to the Association of Tour Operators (ATOR). These are Sochi, Anapa, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Vladivostok and Novosibirsk. Moscow and St. Petersburg were not counted.
The highest quality of service turned out to be in catering establishments in Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod and Vladivostok. Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk are also among the top five cities with the best service. The cafes and restaurants in Sochi, Kazan and Rostov-on-Don serve visitors the worst.
Most often, catering visitors complain about the speed of service, the study showed. Other problems include dirty tables and dishes, general unsanitary conditions, staff rudeness, rudeness, ignoring guests, and tipping.
