Only one reservoir in St. Petersburg and three lakes in the Leningrad region were recognized as safe for swimming. The rest do not meet the necessary standards, the press service of the interregional Department of Rospotrebnadzor reported on Tuesday, August 26.

We are talking about the Olginsky reservoir in the Vyborg district, lakes Otradnoye in the village of Plodovoye and Ratnoe in the village of Kuznechnoye (both are located in the Priozersky district) and Lake Ozerko in Lodeynoye Pole.

As noted by 78.ru employees of the department have been continuously monitoring the quality of reservoirs since May.

Earlier, Izvestia published a weather forecast for September 2025. Near-normal weather with variable clouds is expected in St. Petersburg. Local storms and frosts are possible, and Indian summer will occur in the second half of the month.
