Six months later, Russia was able to transfer about €13 million to Latvia to pay military pensions to Russian citizens who live in the state. This was reported on August 26 by the Latvian agency LETA with reference to the country's Foreign Minister Baiba Braje.

"Russia has transferred 1295587 euros to the Latvian treasury for the payment of pensions and benefits to Russian retired citizens for three quarters of 2025, Foreign Minister Baiba Brazhe said," RIA Novosti quoted the text of the publication.
