In Ukraine, men from 18 to 22 years old were allowed to cross the border freely.
Ukrainians between the ages of 18 and 22 were allowed to cross the state border freely. The relevant resolution was adopted by the government on August 26, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko said.
"The Cabinet of Ministers has updated the procedure for crossing the state border. Men between the ages of 18 and 22 will be able to cross the border freely during martial law. We are talking about all citizens of the appropriate age," she said in her Telegram channel.
Sviridenko noted that this decision also applies to citizens who are currently abroad for various reasons. The document will enter into force the day after its official publication.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky said on August 25 that Ukraine would soon face a demographic crisis, from which the country would recover for decades.
Prior to that, on July 27, Verkhovna Rada deputy Anna Skorokhod said that against the background of the mass export of young people aged 16-17 years abroad from Ukraine, the country could lose an entire generation. She clarified that the younger generation adapts abroad and eventually stays there, which is a disaster for the country.
