Auto expert listed the disadvantages of Chinese cars

One of the significant disadvantages of some Chinese cars are problems with electronics and ergonomics. This was stated by an independent expert of the transport industry Alexey Tuzov, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports on August 26.

So, for a number of models from China, the multimedia screen and parking sensors are belatedly triggered. Drivers have to spend time searching for buttons to activate various options. Finally, some machines have low noise insulation.

The auto expert warned against buying Chinese cars of little-known brands that are not particularly popular in the country. According to him, there is a risk that these Chinese brands can easily leave Russia, and buying such a model is fraught with great risk.

Possible reasons why cars of a number of brands are not in demand, Tuzov called the insufficient period of presence on the Russian market, recognition, adaptation, as well as functionality that differs from Japanese, Korean, and European cars.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that the average price of a new Chinese car remained virtually unchanged for the year and amounted to 3.1 million rubles in the summer of 2025. However, as experts noted, over the year, individual models of a number of brands have noticeably fallen in price.

Yesterday it became known that, according to a survey, only 19% of Russians are ready to buy a new Chinese car from an official dealer. 16% of respondents are aiming to buy a new foreign car using alternative imports.
