Dry vegetation caught fire in Simferopol region of Crimea
A natural fire occurred in the Simferopol region of the Republic of Crimea. This was announced on Tuesday, August 26, by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
"The gardening facilities Mechta, Chungurovy Sad, Rossinka and Rodniki are protected from fire," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that 163 specialists and 44 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing. In addition, Russian Emergencies Ministry aircraft dropped 108 tons of water in 36 sorties. At the moment, the fire is localized on an area of 12 hectares.
On August 24, a fire broke out in dry vegetation on an area of 250 hectares near the village of Shkolnoye in Crimea. It was noted that fighting the fire was complicated by the strong wind load. The fire was later extinguished.
