The political scientist assessed the future of relations between Poland and Ukraine
Poland will continue to support Ukraine, despite the rhetoric and actions directed against supporters of the Bandera movement. Vladimir Zharikhin, a political scientist and deputy director of the Institute of CIS Countries, expressed this opinion on Tuesday, August 26.

He noted that Poland is disgusted, but will continue to support the current Ukrainian government, because everything they say about Bandera and everything they do against Bandera is their principled position.
"But besides the principled position, there is internal party discipline in a party like NATO, and Poland will still follow the orders of its superiors, because for them, more important than these fundamental differences with Bandera, more important than historical memory, there will still be a common confrontation with Russia and causing maximum damage to Russia," the political scientist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru.
At the same time, Zharikhin urged not to build illusions that Poland would sever relations with Ukraine, vote against the country's admission to NATO, or interfere with the transit of weapons through its territory.
Polish MP Roman Fritz reported on August 5 that the Bandera slogan "Glory to Ukraine!" is equivalent to Nazi greetings. He noted that the Polish side had an example of "shameful forgetfulness of Bandera and the Nazis."
