The seventh season of the country's reforestation campaign "Save the Forest" starts in Russia

During the autumn reforestation campaign, the traditional "Save the Forest" campaign will be held in all regions of the country. The campaign is rightfully the largest in the country in terms of the number of trees planted and, according to VTSIOM polls, is one of the top 3 most recognizable environmental initiatives among Russian residents.

The 2025 goal is to plant 70 million trees, draw the attention of the general public to the topic of caring for forest resources, as well as compensate for the effects of forest fires and contribute to the preservation of the country's carbon balance. In total, over the previous five seasons of the project, its participants planted about 300 million trees.

The "Save the Forest" campaign will be held for the seventh time, and will traditionally cover all regions of the Russian Federation, including historical regions where events of the Environmental Humanitarian Missions Program are also planned.

Let us remind you that the "Save the Forest" campaign combines the meanings of forest conservation not only in quantitative terms, but also taking into account the care and respect for forests, which are rightfully the pride of our country. In the new season of the project, it is also planned to hold clean-up days on the territory of forest districts, educational workshops, online quizzes on the topic of forests and other thematic activities.

The organizers of the action are ANO "Garden of Memory" together with the All-Russian Ecological movement "Ecosystem" with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia and the Federal Forestry Agency.

The largest reforestation project in the country has been carried out since 2019 as part of the implementation of the Decree of President Vladimir Putin "On the National Development of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036" dated 05/07/2024 No. 309, in support of the national project "Environmental well-being".
