Dmitry Mednikov, Managing Director of the Russian Media Group, and Stanislav Skalaban, Director of Website and Application Development at the holding, spoke at two discussions of the Territory of the Future forum. Moscow 2030", dedicated to the creation of a smart urban space. They talked about how media can become a link between humans and technology and how modern digital solutions contribute to improving the quality of content.

The first discussion, "Smart City: Digital Infrastructure of the Future", took place on August 21 at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. The speakers discussed advanced technological solutions that have already been implemented in Moscow and developments that will appear in the capital in the coming years.

Dmitry Mednikov, Managing Director of the Russian Media Group, continued to introduce the audience to the topic of Emotional Big Data, which was named one of the trends in the development of the media industry at the last SPIEF.

Russian Media Group, a media holding company initially focused on linear broadcasting, is actively implementing digital solutions today, thereby demonstrating the effectiveness of integrating classical media and IT. Using the example of the RMG case, Dmitry Mednikov vividly demonstrated how modern technologies can improve traditional sectors of the economy.

"In conditions of well-functioning digitalization of the metropolis, artificial intelligence and robotics, everything that a person is used to doing is not necessary. In this sense, humanity already has a fundamental and extremely interesting task – to come up with a task for itself," says Dmitry Mednikov, Managing Director of RMG.

One of the effective tools used by large media, such as RMG, is Emotional Big Data. A huge knowledge base about listeners, the comparison of economic actions and emotions already makes it possible to predict trends, personalize content and improve its quality, as well as optimize advertising campaigns and increase the attractiveness of media to the audience.

As Dmitry Mednikov noted, this toolkit will continue to evolve. In the future, real-time media will be able to understand the emotions of people in different parts of the metropolis and localize the product by reading the characteristics of a particular person, as well as create an emotional map based on the metrics obtained.

The discussion was also attended by Evgeny Kuznetsov, CEO of Digital Evolution Ventures and futurologist; Dmitry Ontoev, Adviser to the Head of the Moscow Information Technology Department; Yaroslav Belyaev, Head of the Strategy and Change Management Department at Mosinzhproekt; Konstantin Trofimenko, Director of the HSE Smart City Research Center. The moderator was Yuri Bogdanov, TV presenter of the Rossiya 24 channel.

Experts discussed how government and business use artificial intelligence technologies and other innovative solutions to create a convenient urban infrastructure and make Moscow even safer and more comfortable.

According to Dmitry Ontoev, adviser to the head of the Moscow Department of Information Technology, the capital is undergoing a digital transformation: IT technologies are being introduced into all spheres of urban life to improve the efficiency of the city's functioning as a system. He also noted that today Moscow is ready to share its accumulated experience with the regions, helping to solve problems of improving the quality of life of residents.
