The average price of a new Chinese car in Russia has been named
The average price of a new Chinese car remained virtually unchanged over the year, and in the summer of 2025 it amounted to 3.1 million rubles. This was reported to Izvestia on August 26 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed the average prices for the most popular models.
However, as experts noted, over the year, individual models of a number of brands have noticeably fallen in price. Prices for new Hongqi (-33.7%), GAC (-28.6%), Voyah (-17.5%) and Lixiang (-12.7%) cars decreased the most significantly.
Among the models, the premium crossover Hongqi HS5 has fallen in price most noticeably — by 36.1%. The price of the Exeed RX was 11% lower, while the price of the Chery Tiggo 4 Pro was 8.2% lower. Voyah Free (-7.7%), Lixiang L7 (-6.2%), Omoda S5 (-5.3%), Haval M6 (-5.2%), Jaecoo J7 (-4.8%), Exeed LX (-4.8%) and Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max (-4.6%) were also cheaper.
The day before, it was reported that, according to a survey, only 19% of Russians are ready to buy a new Chinese car from an authorized dealer. 16% of respondents are aiming to buy a new foreign car using alternative imports.
On August 20, it became known that the volume of used passenger car imports from China to Russia has more than quadrupled in the first seven months of this year. If at the beginning of 2025, China accounted for only about 3% of the total structure of used cars imported into the Russian Federation, then by July this figure had increased to 16%.
