Sobyanin reported on the implementation of projects proposed by Muscovites

Almost 9 thousand proposals from Moscow residents, collected on the "City of Ideas" platform, have been implemented by the authorities of the capital. At the same time, the discussion of various initiatives to develop the infrastructure of physical education and sports aroused great interest among Muscovites, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his personal blog.

According to him, residents' proposals are not limited to the creation of new sites.

Almost 30 thousand Muscovites offered more than 5 thousand different ideas within the framework of thematic sports projects. Of these, the city has taken 176 of the best proposals into work — 34 of them have already been implemented, Sobyanin said. In particular, in June, the 10,000 Steps walking and running festival was held on the Boulevard Ring, the International Yoga Day was held in Tsaritsyn, and an extreme park opened in Luzhniki in early summer.

Since the launch of the City of Ideas platform in 2014, about 630,000 people have joined it, Sobyanin said. Users can suggest ideas for the development of various spheres of life in the capital. In March, a special project "The City discusses Moscow Sports" was launched on the platform, with almost 100,000 participants.
