Passengers of the London – Beijing flight were transferred to the international terminal of Nizhnevartovsk Airport. This was announced on August 26 on the official page of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug — Yugra.

It is specified that the governor of the region Ruslan Kuharuka instructed to provide hot meals and drinks to the passengers and crew members of the flight.

"The condition of the passengers and crew members is satisfactory, everyone is feeling well. The arrival of the backup flight is expected at 17:02 local time (at 15:02 Moscow time. — Ed.)", — stated in a message on VKontakte.

On August 26, an Air China plane en route from London to Beijing landed unscheduled at Nizhnevartovsk Airport in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. There were no casualties as a result of the unscheduled landing of the aircraft.

Later, a representative of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Artyom Korenyako, said that the preliminary reason for the unscheduled landing was a malfunction of one of the engines.
