The Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Murmansk Region has received more than 1.1 billion rubles from the regional government. The decree was signed by Governor Andrey Chibis, the Bi-Port news agency reported on Tuesday, August 26.

The funds were transferred to the department from the reserve fund. They will be sent as subsidies to heat supply organizations to compensate for some of the additional costs of purchasing fuel. The costs arose due to the rise in price of heating oil.

Earlier in August, it was reported that in Russia they proposed to punish heating grid organizations that did not fix the shortcomings on time before the heating season. The amount of the fine will be up to 4 thousand rubles.
