The Slovak Foreign Minister urged Kiev to refrain from attacks on the energy sector
Slovakia's Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanar, addressed Ukraine on Tuesday, August 26, and asked it to refrain from attacks on energy infrastructure.
According to him, two meetings have been held over the past two days: with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga and with the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the country Taras Kachka.
"I informed them about a letter sent to the European Commission regarding the protection of strategic energy infrastructure in connection with the attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline, and asked the Ukrainian side to refrain from such attacks that harm not only Slovakia, but also Ukraine itself," Blanar wrote on Facebook. On the same day, US President Donald Trump told Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that he was "very angry" over Ukraine's strikes on an oil pipeline.
