The development of artificial intelligence (AI) is making it difficult for novice programmers and accountants to find work in the United States. This was reported by Bloomberg on August 26, citing the results of a Stanford University study.

"According to a new study, artificial intelligence makes it difficult for aspiring professionals in the United States to find jobs in areas such as software development and customer service," the publication says.

According to the agency, employment of people who are just starting their careers in the fields most affected by AI, such as accountants, developers and administrative assistants, has decreased by 13% over the past three years.

However, the employment rate among more experienced employees in the same fields remained the same or even improved, although it slowed down for employees aged 22 to 25. In addition, employment trends in less high-tech positions, such as nursing assistants, have also strengthened.

According to scientists, the decline in employment is most often observed in areas where AI is more likely to automate human labor rather than help people do their jobs.

On April 27, American entrepreneur Elon Musk commented on the novelty of introducing electrodes into human brain tissue and clarified that at this rate robots will be able to replace surgeons within five years. He expressed the opinion that surgical robots are able to perform difficult work faster and better than humans, requiring high concentration.
