Residents of the Southwestern Administrative District of Moscow have sent over 2 tons of humanitarian cargo to Donetsk - in total, since the beginning of the special military operation, residents of this district have sent more than 350 tons of cargo with basic necessities to new regions. This was announced on August 26 on the portal of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

As part of the 115th humanitarian convoy to the Zaporizhia region and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), which was formed with the participation of volunteers from the southwest and deputy of the Moscow City Duma Ekaterina Razzakova, Russian servicemen received address packages, clothes, shoes, as well as power tools, camouflage nets and radio equipment. In addition, the cargo included vital medicines, dressings and long-term storage food packages, which were at the disposal of the medical company.

"During humanitarian missions, we see every day how important the common cause is. Our fighters and residents of historical regions are very grateful for the support. Many thanks to everyone who puts a piece of their heart into this help: the volunteers who daily knit camouflage nets, make trench candles, and personal hygiene kits (dry showers). <...> This is our common contribution to victory, to the future of the country. When we help, we become stronger. Thank you for your kind hearts," Riazakova said.

She also highlighted the work of volunteers who provide clothes, food and toys for children living in new regions — the pupils of the integrated social service center managed to deliver 100 school kits, dry mixes and warm clothes. A party with animators and life-size dolls was also organized for children. In addition, the center was awarded a certificate for a new heating boiler, which is planned to be brought for subsequent installation on one of the next trips.

Vladimir Promyslov, Deputy Prefect of the Southwestern Administrative District of Moscow, said that every departure is a wish from the heart that allows you to save someone's life. Because of this awareness, as he noted, it is possible to understand what needs to be worked for. Promyslov also noted that goodness "has no mileage," just like humanity knows no borders.

The collection of humanitarian aid for residents of new and border regions, as well as gifts for participants of the free military district, is carried out daily in all districts of the Southern Administrative District. To join the campaign, you can go to the base of the Moscow Helps headquarters, which is located in the first building of house 61 on Sevastopolsky Prospekt or to the flagship collection point — house 14 on Maria Street. Ulyanova Street. You can also send a parcel as part of the urban project "Summer in Moscow", in which four festival venues operate in the Southern Administrative District, the addresses of which are listed in the portal material.

On August 19, farmers who participated in the Moscow fairs handed over apples from their orchards to the special military operation zone for soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, residents of frontline territories and refugees. This flight, organized by the We Are Near Foundation and which became the 28th in a row, is timed to coincide with the Yablochny Spas holiday. In addition to fruits, farmers send vegetables, trench candles, dry showers and dry billets to the front. In addition, they sent hand-woven camouflage nets and purchased medicines to the special operation area.
