About 9 thousand people in Primorsky Krai were left without electricity due to bad weather

Due to weather-related emergencies at electric power facilities in Primorsky Krai, about 9,000 people were left without electricity. This was announced on August 26 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.

"As a result of adverse weather conditions on August 25-26, 2025, emergencies occurred at electric power facilities in the region. As a result of the accidents, about 9 thousand residents of Nakhodka and Artyomovsky urban districts, Khasansky and Nadezhdinsky municipal districts were left without electricity," the department said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that the supervisory authority took control of the elimination of the consequences of accidents, the restoration of citizens' rights and the assessment of the state of the road situation in the territory of the region. In addition, the prosecutor's office will assess the condition of the electric grid facilities.

On August 19, the Governor of the Zaporizhia region, Yevgeny Balitsky, announced that a power outage had been recorded throughout the region. Later that day, he called the attack by an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) the cause of the incident. On August 20, Balitsky announced that the power supply had been restored.
