As a result of a towed truck entering the oncoming lane and its subsequent collision with a passenger car, one person was killed and three others were injured. This was announced on August 26 by the press service of the police of the Jewish Autonomous Region (EAO).
"On 1,871 km of the FAD (federal highway. Chita – Khabarovsk a truck driver <...> was towing another truck on a rigid coupling. During the movement, the coupling device was disconnected between the cars. As a result, the towed truck drove into oncoming traffic, where it collided with a Honda Fit car," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.
It is specified that the accident occurred on August 25 at 19:15 local time (12:15 Moscow time) between the cities of Obluchye and Birobidzhan. The driver of a car born in 2000 died on his way to the hospital. Three more people who were in a passenger vehicle at the time of the accident were hospitalized.
On August 25, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Dagestan reported the death of two people as a result of an accident on the 848th km of the Caucasus Federal District. The driver of the car drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Hyundai HD78 manipulator. As a result of the accident, the driver and his passenger died, two more people who were in the car at the time of the accident were hospitalized.
