Bloomberg has learned about Musk's lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI
American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk has filed a lawsuit against Apple and OpenAI for creating a monopoly and damaging competition in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This was reported by Bloomberg on August 25.
It is clarified that during the trial, Musk accused the organizations of creating obstacles to competition from other chatbot manufacturers. In his opinion, these companies allegedly provide an unfair advantage to OpenAI by introducing AI systems into Apple phones.
"Musk's companies X and xAI are seeking billions of dollars in damages in a lawsuit filed on Monday in federal court in Fort Worth, Texas," the agency said in a statement.
In the lawsuit, Musk noted that the integration of OpenAI into the iPhone harms consumers and deprives them of the right to choose. The billionaire also stressed that Apple thus hinders innovation in the field of AI.
"This latest statement is consistent with the ongoing practice of attacks by Mr. Mask," commented the entrepreneur's statement in OREPA.
On August 12, Musk accused Apple of violating antitrust laws when managing App Store ratings. He stated that Apple does not give companies in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) the opportunity to move OpenAI from the first place in the AppStore app store rating and thereby violates antitrust laws.
