US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union (EU) countries and the head of the EU Diplomatic Service, Kaya Kallas, the continuation of joint diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. "The Secretary of State, the Foreign Ministers and the High Representative agreed to continue to cooperate in diplomatic efforts to end the Ukrainian conflict through a long—term negotiated settlement," the ministry said in a statement.
On August 25, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States had stopped spending on the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, the United States no longer pays Ukraine any money, but sells weapons to NATO. He also stressed that former US President Joe Biden gave irrevocable money to Ukraine, "who did not understand what he was doing."
