An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred in the south of Kyrgyzstan near the city of Osh. This was reported on August 25 on the website of the seismological monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.

It is specified that the first tremors were recorded at 22:59 Uzbekistan time (20:59 Moscow time).

The earthquake, which was 15 km deep, was located 343 km south-east of Tashkent. There was no information about casualties or damage.

The Kamchatka branch of the FIT of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported a noticeable earthquake in Kamchatka a day earlier. The magnitude of the seismic event was 6.2, and its source was located at a depth of 33.9 km. There was also no information about casualties or damage.
