On August 26, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of a special military operation.

The ministry noted the actions of Private Vasily Turetsky, who, as part of an assault group, carried out a combat mission to capture and clear a fortified position of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the outskirts of one of the settlements liberated from Ukrainian militants. The capture of the enemy's stronghold was complicated by the presence of an equipped firing point at a commanding height.

Turkish, showing a high degree of professionalism, together with his comrades bypassed the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants from the flank. Having correctly assessed the situation, the soldier threw grenades at the enemy's firing points and was among the first to break into the enemy stronghold.

The rapid attack of the Russian attack aircraft introduced panic into the ranks of the enemy, and realizing the futility of further resistance, the Ukrainian militants retreated deep into their defenses. Thanks to the brave and courageous actions of the Turkish, Russian attack aircraft captured the Ukrainian stronghold without losses and gained a foothold on it, creating conditions for the development of the offensive.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the actions of the guard of Corporal Vladislav Murin, who, as part of the logistics support group, carried out a combat mission to deliver ammunition to the positions of Russian units located in the immediate vicinity of the line of contact. While driving in a specially equipped vehicle, he detected the approach of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

After warning the other soldiers about the threat, Murin left the vehicle and, taking up a favorable firing position, opened fire on aerial targets. During the repulse of the attack with well-aimed fire, a Russian soldier destroyed two enemy drones. Firing at the third FPV drone, he shot it down in his immediate vicinity.

As a result of the detonation of the enemy drone, Murin received shrapnel wounds. Despite his injury, he showed courage and self-control, gave himself the necessary help and continued to deliver ammunition to the positions. Thanks to the brave actions of the guard of Corporal Vladislav Murin, it was possible to deliver ammunition to the positions of the Russian military in a timely manner, which made it possible to increase the onslaught on the positions of the Ukrainian militants and force them to retreat.
