The administration of US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of imposing sanctions on officials of the European Union (EU) or member states responsible for implementing the Digital Services Act. This was reported by the Reuters news agency on August 25.

"Such a step would be an unprecedented action that would strengthen the Trump administration's fight against what it sees as Europe's attempt to suppress conservative voices," the article says.

According to the agency, American officials held consultations on the issue last week. A final decision on the introduction of restrictive measures against Brussels has not yet been made. It is also unclear exactly what measures are being considered and who could be the target of potential sanctions.

On June 6, the United States imposed sanctions against four judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The list includes judges from the ICC Appeals Division, Solomi Balungi Bossa and Luis Del Carmen Ibanes Carranza, as well as from the pre-trial and Judicial division of Rain Adelaide, Sophie Alapini Gansu and Beti Holer. It is known that these people abused the authority of the ICC and directly participated in the crimes of the court against the United States and Israel.
