The growth of activity on the Sun continues, while there is no threat to the Earth yet. This was announced on August 25 by the press service of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"In less than a day, 10 solar flares have already been registered, including three strong level M events. The last M-class flare occurred at 18:18 Moscow time on the eastern edge of the Sun," the Telegram channel said.

It is noted that at the moment it is not known "where the pendulum of solar activity will swing in the coming days." However, now the impact of solar activity on the Earth is almost excluded.

Earlier that day, the Sun recorded its most powerful flare since June 20 this year. It is known that such an event occurred due to a sharp increase in solar activity, which is associated with the appearance of several large active centers on the visible side of the solar disk.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
