There is no universal "ideal employee" — his portrait changes dramatically depending on the field of activity and management level. But there are general requirements for personal qualities that are quoted everywhere in any branch of the Russian economy. On August 26, the HR director of the consulting company "Together.ABOUT", practicing psychologist Dmitry Chernyshov.

"Among these qualities is the ability to make quick and informed decisions in conditions of great uncertainty. Be stress-resistant in the face of deadlines and force majeure. Have the highest level of responsibility and understand that a business reputation has been built up over the years. Take a leadership position and develop communication skills, be able to negotiate with colleagues and strive to improve their own knowledge, skills and abilities," he listed.

In the IT field, according to the psychologist, the employer wants a pragmatic genius. For whom a genius is the experience of working with specific programming languages, frameworks and systems, and a pragmatist as bringing financial returns from IT optimization. This is a person who perceives a business task from the point of view of information processing logic based on the principle of coherence and semantic unity.

In finance and law, an employer wants a risk taker for whom the cult of precision, care and absolute reliability, as well as impeccable knowledge of industry standards and the legal framework, are critically important. An error in calculation or interpretation of the law is too expensive. Conservatism in behavior and appearance, equally important are the skills to work with large amounts of data and think structurally.

"In marketing, advertising and PR, the employer wants to see a creative strategist balancing at the intersection of art and analytics. Creativity and generating bright ideas with a clear focus on business goals should be a priority. In addition, the specialist must hear and understand what the client needs from the product and brand," explained Chernyshov.

As for production and logistics, in these industries, the employer wants to see an effective optimization organizer who sees the entire value stream, knows how to eliminate bottlenecks and increase its speed. Practical experience, systems thinking, understanding of technical processes and knowledge of industry-specific software are critically important.

In the public sector, the employer wants to see an ideological employee for whom material interests are not paramount, but the desire to benefit society, following the mission of the state organization. The competencies of project management, understanding of bureaucratic procedures, perseverance and the ability to work with regulations are important.

Medicine and education require absolute leadership — these "helping" professions are based on two pillars — expertise and empathy. A healthcare professional who respectfully listens to the patient's problems confidently makes a diagnosis — and this already relieves half of the pain symptoms. The teacher is an empath who knows his subject deeply and comprehensively, transmits inspiring images and vivid emotions to students, sparking interest in knowledge. A cold genius or a sympathetic dilettante in the field of medicine and education is equally far from ideal.

"In agriculture, the ideal candidate is a professional who combines deep agronomic knowledge with a willingness to do hard physical labor. His strength lies in his love of the land and his experience that the result of his work is influenced not only by the use of advanced cultivation and harvesting technologies, but also by the ability to predict and design his activities based on a variety of factors," the expert said.

Earlier, on August 15, Anna Saigina, an expert at the Professions of the Future Center, named six serious mistakes in an interview with Izvestia that could destroy the chances of job offers. So, among the main ones are lateness and ignoring calls.
