In the autumn, after the reconstruction, a children's and adult polyclinic will open in the capital's Severny district, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the MACH messenger.
The renovated building will accommodate doctors from the branches of the consultative and diagnostic center No. 6 and the children's city polyclinic No. 125.
Specialists repaired the facade of the building, replaced engineering systems and elevators, and made ramps. The clinic was equipped with a mammograph, ultrasound machines and other equipment for modern diagnostics, Sobyanin said. According to him, doctors will be able to receive more than 1.5 thousand patients per shift.
The surrounding area was also improved during the reconstruction, the mayor noted. In particular, lawns were laid out around the building, benches were installed, sidewalks and driveways were renovated.
"The Severny district has changed a lot in recent years," Sobyanin wrote. He recalled that courtyards, the Severny Nature Reserve and the Long Ponds Park had been landscaped here. In addition, a metro appeared in Severny, kindergartens and a fire station were built. Among others, the Kalinnikov School of Art, the Severny Cultural Center and Library No. 65 were renovated.
