Gavkovsky announced the impossibility of paying for Starlink for Ukraine
Poland will not be able to pay for Starlink Internet for Ukraine due to the veto of the country's president Karol Nawrocki. This was stated by the Minister of Digitalization of the Republic Krzysztof Havkovsky in the social network X (former. Twitter).
"Karol Navrotsky has decided to turn off the Internet in Ukraine, which follows from his law on assistance to citizens of Ukraine. This means the end of the Starlink Internet, which Poland provided to war-torn Ukraine. In addition, support for storing Ukrainian government data in a secure location is being discontinued," Gavkovsky wrote.
The minister noted that Navrotsky harms Ukrainians fighting for independence and at the same time helps Russia. He called the president's decision a "disgrace" and "betrayal of a neighbor."
Earlier, Karol Navrotsky vetoed a bill implying the extension of special status and benefits for refugees from Ukraine. He noted that the allowance should be provided only to Ukrainians who make efforts to work in Poland.
