Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate to strengthen control over entrances to schools
The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate has announced a citywide preventive event on the eve of the new school year. It will be held from August 25 to September 5. The raid is dedicated to the prevention of child traffic injuries and ensuring the safety of young road users.
On September 1, the entrances to all schools will be under special control of traffic inspectors, and traffic police posts will be close to them. In each district of the capital, traffic police will hold various events, promotions and briefings with schoolchildren and their parents.
"The State Traffic Inspectorate of the capital appeals to parents to be attentive and disciplined road users, setting a positive example for the younger generation, and also to remind children daily about strict compliance with traffic regulations," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
The Moscow Traffic Police also recommended that parents work out the "home-school-home" route scheme with their children and go through the main urban infrastructure facilities in practice.
Earlier, on August 20, it was reported that the State Duma had developed a bill proposing to allow drivers of motorcycles, mopeds and vehicles carrying people with disabilities and children with disabilities to move along designated lanes for public transport.
