According to statistics from the National Disaster Management System, 102.5 thousand people were affected in Hainan Province, while detailed disaster data continues to be collected," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, in the city of Sanya, more than 20 thousand trees were toppled or tilted due to the typhoon, and one residential complex was flooded at a depth of about 70 cm. In addition, water shortages have occurred in seven administrative villages, affecting more than 7,000 households, while more than 5,000 households are still without water.

It is noted that the Kajiki brought strong winds and rains to the land and sea areas of the southern half of Hainan Province. It was the strongest typhoon to hit Sanya since meteorological observations were made.
