As part of the business program of the Moscow International Film Week, the session "Camera against Silence: Documentary films as a trigger for change" was held. The event, moderated by Vyacheslav Goldfeld, President of the All-Russian Documentary Film Festival "Unknown Russia", brought together leading industry experts to discuss the impact of documentary films on public opinion and current audience demands.

The participants of the session were:

- Ekaterina Avaliani, Head of the NMG DOC Documentary Cluster.

- Sergey Miroshnichenko, director and producer of documentary films.

- Vladimir Todorov, Okko documentary content producer.

Ekaterina Avaliani, head of the NMG DOC documentary cluster, announced that the company will conduct pitching of documentary projects. The best of them will be selected for implementation in 2026.

The experts also discussed how documentaries shape public opinion and the agenda, as well as the differences between authorial and auditory approaches to content creation.

Ekaterina also noted: "At the junction of the author's vision and the audience's requests, the brightest and most successful projects are born, which resonate with the audience and become massive and profitable."

NMG DOC, as a documentary cluster of the National Media Group, is focused on creating socially significant content for a wide audience. The company regularly conducts research on viewer preferences to identify relevant requests.

Ekaterina Avaliani, speaking on behalf of NMG DOC, stressed that the modern Russian audience has three key requests: "Pride is the desire to be proud of your country, its achievements, history and people. Dream and Inspiration is the pursuit of inspiring stories that motivate and give hope. The truth is the need for honest and objective coverage of events."
