Sakhalin residents were warned about heavy rain

Heavy rains are expected for two days in the Sakhalin region. Water levels in rivers and lakes may rise in some places.

According to forecasts, precipitation is expected in the evening of August 26 and August 27 in Anivsky, Dolinsky, Korsakovsky, Nevelsky, Makarovsky, Tomarinsky and Kholmsky districts, as well as in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Local residents are advised not to leave settlements unless absolutely necessary and to observe the speed limit on the roads.

In Primorsky Krai, forecasters announced a storm warning due to the approach of an active cyclone. The total amount of precipitation in the coming days may approach the monthly norm.
