Tricolor shot a video for the hit Bearwolf
On National Flag Day, Tricolor, Russia's largest satellite TV and Internet operator, presented a story clip for the Bearwolf song "You are Invincible." The space-scale project, created with the support of PFCI and Roscosmos, was shot in unique Russian locations. One of the most impressive moments of the filming was the real jump of Russian ballet dancer and choreographer Yuri Smekalov over the dilapidated Birzhevoy Bridge in St. Petersburg.
The video was shot by Tricolor for the song "You are Invincible" by the singer Bearwolf. The video features unique footage from the ISS and Baikonur, as well as the largest subsonic wind tunnel in Europe, the T-101 Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI), which was used for the first time. The author of the idea and the lead producer of the project was Fedor Kahn, the head of STORM Production, a St. Petersburg film company that implemented a large—scale idea.
The premiere of the storyline music video with a powerful cast of participants took place on August 22 on all online platforms of the country and on the Tricolor channel Bolshoy Aether. Two stories of the feat will be revealed to the audience: astronauts are putting the ISS in order after serious damage in outer space, while on Earth, Russian ballet dancer, choreographer and head of the MAD association Yuri Smekalov is trying to cope with a severe physical injury and return to the stage.
"We tried to artistically comprehend two iconic themes for our country — cosmonautics and ballet. And also to reflect the connection between national and personal victories that are born in overcoming difficulties. The result is a large-scale, beautiful and musical metaphor of trial and success. The "Earth" filming took place in St. Petersburg, which has been the home of Tricolor for 20 years. The audience can feel the energy of ballet in the legendary interiors of the Komissarzhevskaya Theater. And we shot one of the most dramatic and vivid scenes at night — during the dilution of the Birzhevoy Bridge," says Dmitry Nabidzhanov, creative director of Tricolor.
"Throughout the entire project, I was surrounded by creators of a huge scale who came up with and created this cosmic story, and I am very grateful to them for this experience. My personal victory began with the very fact of my birth on this Earth, and I carried this feeling through my whole life. The opportunity to benefit, develop myself, and involve others is what I see as the main purpose of my work. He gives me the opportunity to feel connected to the audience and share the energy of victory. I remember my first steps on stage, which I did every time in a state of passion. But if you go through your main fear to the goal, no matter what, then it's yours. This is the main triumph," says the singer of the song "You are invincible" Valeria Bearwolf.
"It's been the most difficult professional challenge for me in terms of acting lately. The image of the hero that needed to be created for the video is partly a reflection of all my inner aspirations and trials that I once went through myself. In addition, at the age of 45, when I was already more involved in the production process, it was not easy to decide, realizing that I had to withstand 12-hour shifts of filming and a stunt on the dilapidated Exchange Bridge with my body and spirit. It became a real milestone for me. But when the universe and a team of this level work with you in unison, you realize that you are participating in the creation of a real work of art," Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, and head of the MAD association Yuri Smekalov comments on his participation in the project.
"Stories of heroic deeds and overcoming are an important part of our national identity. When they are embodied in art, the viewer feels that fortitude and loyalty to traditions make Russia invincible. That is why it is so important to support projects that reflect the cultural code of the country and strengthen values by turning personal stories into images that unite society," comments Roman Karmanov, CEO of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
You can watch the music video from August 22 on all online platforms of the country and on the air of the Bolshoy Aether channel.
