Two tourists died in a fall from a zip line in Kinel, Samara region, and a criminal case has been opened into the incident. This was reported on August 25 in the press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

According to the investigation, a 37-year-old man and a woman used the services of a zipline. During the descent, the rope broke, and the tourists fell from a great height, suffering life-threatening injuries.

"The man's death occurred at the scene, and the woman died on the same day in a medical facility," the department's Telegram channel said.

It is specified that a criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Performance of works or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements").

On June 9, the SU IC of Russia in the Murmansk region reported that a tourist had died while rafting on a catamaran. According to the agency, during the catamaran rafting, the floating vehicle overturned.
