Norway and Germany's financing of Patriot ammunition systems indicates Ukraine's intention to continue the conflict. This was announced on August 25 by the director of the Museum of the Air Defense Forces, retired Colonel Yuri Knutov.

"The purchase of air defense systems for Ukraine is extremely necessary, as the country does not have enough such systems. This suggests that the Kiev regime is preparing for an escalation of hostilities, because neither the Europeans nor Ukraine are set up for real serious peace agreements, but are doing everything to disrupt them and continue the fighting," the source said.

Knutov also stressed that Germany seeks to protect its economic interests in Ukraine, mentioning the Metal plant, where German military equipment is being repaired.

As for the impact of the decision of Norway and Germany to finance the purchase of two Patriot systems with ammunition on the course of the special military operation, the military expert said that the Russian Federation is fully ready to defend itself. The Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) are developing new offensive tactics. He expressed confidence that the escalation would not affect the pace of the Russian army's offensive and the internal situation in the country.

"We are ready for this, and the programs that are being implemented both in the field of military equipment and in the economy, at least so far, show their sustainability and positive results," Knutov stressed.

On August 24, it was reported that Norway and Germany would finance the purchase of two Patriot ammunition systems for Ukraine. It is specified that Oslo will provide Kiev with air defense systems worth about 7 billion crowns (more than $ 695 million). The country will also purchase TRML-4D anti-aircraft radars from the German manufacturer Hensoldt and the Typhon 2 air defense system from Kongsberg.
