Four journalists were killed in an Israeli strike on the Gaza Strip.
Four journalists were killed due to Israeli shelling of the hospital's emergency room in the southern Gaza Strip. This was reported on August 25 by Al Jazeera TV channel with reference to a representative of the hospital.
"Fourteen people were killed as a result of an Israeli strike on the emergency room of the Nasser medical complex," a hospital spokesman said.
It is clarified that among the dead are Reuters photojournalist Hossam al-Masri, Al Jazeera photojournalist Mohammed Salama, a journalist for several media outlets, including The Independent Arabic and The Associated Press, Mariam Abu Daka, and NBC network journalist Moaz Abu Taha.
Earlier, on August 11, five employees of the Al Jazeera TV channel were killed in an attack by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). It is specified that the journalists were in a tent located at the main gate of the Al-Shifa hospital in the city of Gaza.
