The regions with the fastest car resale in Russia are named
Car owners in the regions of the North Caucasus spend the least time selling cars in 2025. This was reported to Izvestia on August 25 by Avito Auto experts, who analyzed the data on the offer for used cars on the platform.
Chechnya is the leader among the regions in terms of the speed of car sales, where cars find new owners 20.6% faster than the average in Russia. The top five regions also included the Tula Region (-13.5%), Adygea (-12.4%), Dagestan (-10.8%) and the Voronezh Region (-9.6%).
The fastest way to find new car owners is for professional sellers: it takes them 13.7% less time than the national average. The highest sales rate is in Chechnya (-20.3% of the average in this category), Dagestan (-17.7%) and the Sverdlovsk Region (-16.4%).
For private sellers and dealers, the average exposure time in the country is 11.8% and 5.9%, respectively. Car owners are the fastest to part with cars in Chechnya (-16.9%), Leningrad (-10.2%) and Tambov (-6.5%) regions, while dealers are in Kabardino-Balkaria (-42.4%), Pskov (-37.4%) and Tula (-32.2%) regions.
According to Andrey Kovalev, director of the Used Cars department at Avito, the average exposure time of an ad has decreased by 6% over the past year.
Earlier, on August 20, it was reported that the volume of used passenger car imports from China to Russia has more than quadrupled in the first seven months of this year. If at the beginning of 2025, China accounted for only about 3% of the total structure of used cars imported into the Russian Federation, then by July this figure had increased to 16%.
