In Transbaikalia, a man was sentenced to 10 years for financing terrorists
In the Trans-Baikal Territory, a man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for financing an extremist organization. This was reported on the website of the regional prosecutor's office on August 25.
According to the agency, the defendant made five money transfers in the amount of over a thousand rubles to the account of an extremist organization. Later, when this organization was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia, the man made 13 more transfers worth more than 5,000 rubles. The attacker partially admitted his guilt.
"The 2nd Eastern District Military Court <...> imposed a sentence of 10 years in prison, with the first three years served in prison, and the rest in a high-security penal colony," the report added.
On July 15, two foreigners were detained in Khabarovsk who financed the banned terrorist organization Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (recognized as terrorist by the decision of the Supreme Court of Russia dated December 29, 2014) in order to prepare and carry out terrorist activities by its participants.
