Two people were killed and five injured in an accident in the Rostov region.

Two people were killed and five others injured in a three-car collision on the M-4 highway in the Millerovsky district of the Rostov region. There are minors among the victims. This was announced on August 25 by the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate for the region.

"As a result of a traffic accident, the driver and passenger of a Kia Rio car were killed. The driver of the Geely car, born in 1990, and his passengers, born in 1975, were injured, including two minors, born in 2016 and 2020," the message posted on the Telegram channel says.

According to the agency, the incident occurred on 870 km + 850 m of the M-4 Don highway in the Millerovsky district. The driver, born in 1979, lost control of the Kia Rio car and drove into the oncoming lane, as a result of which he collided with a LADA Vesta car driven by a driver born in 1983.

As a result of the incident, the Kia Rio driver also collided with an oncoming Geely Atlas car driven by a driver born in 1990. The circumstances of the accident are being established, the department added.

On August 24, as a result of a head-on collision of two cars on the 876th km of the R-257 Yenisei highway in Tyva, one person was killed and five others were injured. It was clarified that there were also three minors aged nine, 10 and 17 in the Toyota Funcargo car. After the accident, all of them were taken to the intensive care unit of a local medical facility.
