The new economical version of Lada Granta is presented

ATS Avto, an official partner of AvtoVAZ, has prepared a pre-production version of the Lada Granta sedan, which runs on propane. This was reported by Rossiyskaya Gazeta on August 25. The model is currently undergoing final road tests, and the car is operated daily.

This Lada Granta is equipped with a gas cylinder with a volume of 45 liters, it is located in the niche of the spare wheel. When developing the propane version of Granta, the specialists relied on the experience of creating and operating methane modifications.

The filling fitting is installed under the fuel filler cap, which eliminates the need for additional holes in the bumper and protects the fitting from external influences, the company said.

As previously reported by Alexey Suchkov, Director of ATS Group, it is planned to produce from 100 to 200 propane versions of Lada Granta per month, but much will depend on demand. It is noted that the propane version will cost about 50 thousand rubles more expensive than the gasoline version.

The Tolyatti plant also produces a methane Lada Granta, its own ATS project.

On August 21, it was reported that during three weeks of corporate vacation (July 28 — August 17) AvtoVAZ was engaged in maintenance and modernization of equipment. During this time, 10.8 thousand works worth more than 247 million rubles were performed in all divisions of the company, as well as at subsidiaries PSA VIS-Avto and LADA-Izhevsk.
