- The Prosecutor General's Office declared the NGO International Baccalaureate undesirable in the Russian Federation
The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation has declared the activities of the Swiss non-governmental organization (NGO) International Baccalaureate undesirable in Russia. This was reported on the agency's website on August 25.
"The ideologists of anti—Russian projects have "appointed" the organization as the leader of international general education programs that allow graduates to enroll in almost any university in the world," the publication says.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, in fact, the purpose of the organization is to "format Russian youth according to Western patterns" — applicants are imposed a certain vision of historical processes, distorted well-known facts, and anti-Russian propaganda.
So, with the beginning of the special military operation, the training and methodological manuals were changed based on the Russophobic position of the collective West. They contain calls for the international isolation of the Russian Federation and information discrediting the Russian army, the ministry said.
"Bachelor's degree students promote non—traditional values based on the ideology of banned extremist groups," the Prosecutor General's Office added.
Earlier, on August 18, it was reported that the Russian Prosecutor General's Office had declared the activities of the German organization Stiftung Erinnerung, Verantwortung und Zukunft e.V (EVZ) (Foundation for Memory, Responsibility and the Future) undesirable on the territory of the Russian Federation. It is clarified that after the start of the special military operation, the foundation took an anti-Russian position, calling for support from Kiev and organizing a collection of donations for Ukrainian troops.
