The Interior Ministry named the main signs of phishing links
Scammers most often use numbers or the @ symbol in their links. This was announced on August 25 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
It is important to pay attention to whether the link changes its appearance when pointing a computer mouse at it: if so, this is a sign of a fraudulent link, the agency told TASS.
They clarified that you also need to beware of links that contain two or more addresses. So, if there is www at the beginning of the address, but there is no dot, or if there is http or https at the beginning of the address, but there is no ": //", then this is also a sign of danger. In addition, a phishing link may contain substituted characters, for example, when the letter O is replaced by the number 0.
The Interior Ministry warned that phishing links can be found in social networks, messengers, work mail and even in SMS.
On August 22, the Interior Ministry said that fraudsters were stealing money from Russians, allegedly offering them employment through messengers. They send out letters with job offers, ostensibly in an international company, and conduct a short "test." A "salary" is displayed on the victim's account. After that, the scammers, under the pretext of "tax payments", demand to transfer money, after which the connection with them is cut off.
