Members of a 10-person tour group, who lost contact on Iturup Island in the Sakhalin Region, told how they lost their way. The corresponding footage is published by Izvestia on August 25.

"They went a little to the left. Then the wife comes up and says, "Where did they go?" <...> And they went back to the right, along the path. Somehow we reached the Pacific Ocean," said the group's guide.

The man noted that the tourists tried to make a bonfire, but it was not possible due to the dampness.

The loss of a tour group of 10 people was reported on August 24. According to Istomin, the tour group did not get in touch in the area of the Baransky volcano. Later, investigators began checking on the disappearance of the group.

Later it became known that the tour group was not registered. It is assumed that she could have "taken a wrong turn" due to very heavy fog. Later, the Mi-8 helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations went in search of the missing.

The next day, the band members were found. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, medical assistance to tourists is not required.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
