Flynas plane with 177 passengers urgently landed in Turkey
The passenger plane of the Saudi airline Flynas Airbus A320 urgently returned to Trabzon airport due to engine problems. All 177 people on board are safe, NTV reported on August 24.
"The aircraft successfully returned to Trabzon airport at 23:18 local time. All 169 passengers and eight crew members are safe," the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure said in a statement.
According to the agency, the emergency signal was received at 22:49. 29 minutes after departure, the airliner landed safely. There were no casualties in the incident.
Earlier, on August 7, it was reported that a light aircraft crashed in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. As a result of the disaster, six people died. The plane was affiliated with a local aviation firm that specializes in private charters and medical evacuation flights throughout Africa. The investigation into the causes of the incident continues.
