Film director Valery Uskov died at the age of 93.
Valery Uskov, a film director and People's Artist of the RSFSR, passed away at the age of 93. The relevant information was published on the official website of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia on August 24.
"At the age of 93, our friend and colleague, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, People's Artist of the RSFSR, winner of the USSR State Prize and the Lenin Komsomol Prize, recipient of the Badge of Honor, Order of Honor, Orders of Merit for the Fatherland, IV and III degrees, feature film director Valery Ivanovich Uskov, died.", — the statement says.
Uskov was born on April 22, 1933 in Yekaterinburg. Since 1964, he worked as a stage director at the Mosfilm film studio. Together with Vladimir Krasnopolsky, he created such films and TV series as "Shadows Disappear at noon", "Eternal Call", "Taiga Landing", "Stewardess", "The Four Seasons", "Unsupervised", "Father and Son", "Complicity in Murder" and others.
The Union of Cinematographers also expressed its condolences to the filmmaker's family and friends.
