The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has attacked a military complex that houses the presidential palace, as well as other facilities in Yemen. This was announced on August 24 by the press service of the department.

"Among the objects attacked are the military complex where the presidential palace is located, the Asar and Hezaz power plants, as well as a fuel storage facility that were used for military operations by the Houthi terrorist regime," the IDF wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that fighters of the country's Air Force also attacked military infrastructure in the Sanaa area. The Ministry stressed that these actions were a response to repeated Houthi attacks on Israeli territory.

"The presidential Palace in the Sanaa area is located on the territory of a military complex, from where the forces of the Houthi terrorist regime conduct military operations," the Israeli army said.

The IDF struck Sanaa earlier in the day. It was reported that about seven explosions occurred in different parts of the city.

On August 17, Reuters reported that at least two explosions occurred in the Yemeni capital near a local power plant. The causes of the detonation were not reported.
