Near the village of Shkolnoye in the Crimea, dry vegetation caught fire on an area of 250 hectares. This was announced on August 24 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Crimea.

"A natural fire in the Simferopol region is localized on an area of 250 hectares...> Plowing along the edge of the fire and water supply have been organized," the department's Telegram channel says.

As noted in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fight against fire was complicated by a strong wind load. The fire was later extinguished.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Crimea, part of the mountain search and rescue Specialized Squad, worked at the scene of the fire. In total, 110 people and 24 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.

On August 21, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations deployed aviation to extinguish a landscape fire in Crimea. In addition, the administration carried out plowing and water delivery. At the same time, it was clarified that the elimination of the fire was complicated due to the inaccessible terrain, as well as hot and windy weather.
