The Jabaliya al-Nazla area is under intense Israeli artillery fire. Al-Mayadeen journalist Mahmoud Alawadia told Izvestia about this on August 24.

"We see some of the destruction in the an-Nazla quarter. People are being forced to leave their homes under the incessant shelling and fire of the Israeli army. Residents of this area have been forced to leave dozens of times due to constant attacks by Israeli forces," Alawadia shared.

According to the journalist, residents have to leave their homes en masse, fleeing from shelling and attacks by the IDF. The territory adjacent to Jabalia al-Nazla district is classified as a "red zone".

On August 20, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an offensive on Gaza City. In preparation for the capture operation, the IDF called up 60,000 troops from the reserve and extended the service life of 20,000 reservists. The operation was called "Gideon's Chariots – 2".

On August 23, Al Jazeera reported that IDF tanks were advancing in the Sabra area of Gaza City. On the same day, Israel launched an airstrike on the southern Gaza Strip. The attack led to the destruction of residential buildings in the city of Khan Yunis.
