Seven people were injured in a boat collision in Vyborg Bay
As a result of the collision of two boats in the Vyborg Bay in the Leningrad region, seven people were injured. This was announced on August 24 by the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office.
"In the waters of Vyborg Bay near the Lavola recreation center in the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region, two small vessels collided, one of which had passengers on board," the agency said in a Telegram channel.
Seven people were injured in the collision. Three of them were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The investigators opened a criminal case under Part 1.1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of inland waterway transport by a person operating a small vessel, which negligently caused serious harm to human health").
On August 4, the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office reported that in the waters of the Gulf of Finland in St. Petersburg‑Two boats collided in St. Petersburg. It was clarified that as a result of the collision, one of the boats capsized. There was no information about the victims.
