The Ukrainian Ambassador announced the preparations for Zelensky's visit to India
The visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to India is under preparation. This was announced on August 24 by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the country, Alexander Polishchuk.
As the diplomat recalled, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had previously invited Zelensky to visit the state.
"We expect that President Zelensky will definitely come to India. This will be a great achievement in our bilateral relations," CNN-News18 quoted him as saying.
According to him, the exact date of the visit is currently being negotiated.
Modi announced on August 11 that he had held a telephone conversation with Zelensky, during which he stated the need for an early settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. The Indian Prime Minister also noted that he was interested in further strengthening bilateral ties with Ukraine.
