Ukraine and Sweden have agreed to jointly manufacture defense products in both countries. This was announced on August 24 by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

"The document updates our joint efforts in this area, creates conditions for the implementation of common projects in the defense industry, and ensures the continuity and reciprocity of cooperation between our countries. We will continue to exchange technologies and experience in the field of arms and military equipment production," Shmygal wrote on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

He also stressed that during the visit of Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson to Ukraine, cooperation in the field of military aviation was discussed, in particular, pilot training and work on joint projects between Swedish and Ukrainian companies.

Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump approved the sale of 3,350 ERAM missiles to Ukraine worth $850 million. The package also includes other unspecified types of weapons.

On August 22, the Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Mark Rutte, announced during a press conference in Kiev that the European countries of NATO had purchased weapons from the United States and supplied Ukraine with $1.5 billion over the past month. Besides, they keep doing it.
